Emtec Laboratories was founded in 1970 by Alec Sneyd (F.S.H.A.A) with the name "Emtec" representing "Ear Mould Technology".

Initially, Emtec manufactured ear moulds for profoundly deaf children. They were the preferred first choice of many, due to their extremely comfortable fit. It was on this basis of comfort that the NoiseBreakers® evolved.

In 1990, Emtec Laboratories relocated to Shropshire and the business has subsequently been developed by Maurice Davison and his daughter Fiona Edwards. It remains in the family, under the directorship of Fiona.

For the past 40+ years, Emtec has been the market leader in custom made hearing protection, responsible not only for the manufacturing, but also direct marketing, aided by a network of agents, nationally and internationally.

The manufacturing of the NoiseBreaker is a very precise process due to the customised nature of the hearing protection. In view of this, our technicians are highly skilled, with a wealth of experience in their field of ear mould technology.
