NoiseBreaker Ear Plugs For The Aggregate Industry

If you work within the aggregate industry, the chances are you’re subjected to high levels of noise on a regular basis. In order to prevent any long-term damage, it’s vital to ensure that steps are taken to provide yourself with full hearing protection.

That’s where our NoiseBreaker ear plugs provide the ideal solution. As a personally moulded and vented earplug, the NoiseBreaker is a silicone rubber moulding which is tailor-made to each individual concha bowl and ear canal. It can be worn comfortably in combination with other PPE including, for example, breathing apparatus, helmets and safety glasses.

Because of their perfect fit, the NoiseBreakers do not move, even under strenuous activity – hence they provide laboratory levels of protection in any environment.

Being made of a medical grade silicone rubber – a derivative of silica – the NoiseBreakers are the environmental choice, as they have no adverse effect on the environment.

Also, due to their permanent nature, the NoiseBreakers are not a disposable plug. Hence they eliminate waste that can ensue from disposable ear plugs.

Because of the NoiseBreakers’ custom fit, they can be comfortably worn all day, minimising the risk of ear infection.

The fact that NoiseBreakers® are individually tailored has a number of advantages; namely they are comfortable and therefore achieve a high level of acceptance by the wearer, in contrast to the conventional disposable plugs and ear muffs. Also they allow the wearer to communicate easily, but at the same time afford excellent protection.

Attenuation Data

H 28
M 21
L 17
SNR 25.3

Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)

Attenuation details on NoiseBreakers tested at Salford University Department of Applied Acoustics EN352-2:2002.
