NoiseBreaker Ear Plugs For The Energy Industry
If you work in the energy industry, chances are noisy environments are just a given. Whilst there’s little to be done about the noise, there are steps that can be taken to prevent any long term damage to your hearing.
Undoubtedly, ear plugs are the number one solution to protecting your hearing. But it’s just as important to make sure you choose the right kind, one that will fit perfectly to ensure complete protection.
As a personally moulded and vented earplug, the Emtec NoiseBreaker® is tailor-made of silicone rubber and perfectly fits each individual concha bowl and ear canal. Wearing it with other PPE – such as breathing apparatus, helmets and safety glasses – is no problem as they can be worn comfortably with other products.
Strenuous activity need not be concerning as their perfect fit ensures they do not move, meaning they provide laboratory level protection in various environments.
They’re a great environmental choice as they’re made of a medical grade silicone rubber – a derivative of silica, which has no negative effect on the environment.
Finally, NoiseBreakers are not a disposable plug, but have a strong permanent nature, meaning they eliminate the waste that can ensue from throwaway ear plugs.
If you work within the energy industry and would like to find out more about our NoiseBreakers, then please feel free to contact us to find out more or to place your order.

Attenuation Data
Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)
Attenuation details on NoiseBreakers tested at Salford University Department of Applied Acoustics EN352-2:2002.
