Ear Protection for Industry

Ear Protection for Recreation

Audio Compatible

Whether it’s for work or leisure, if you have to wear hearing protection, it doesn’t mean everything has to be silent from here on in.

Here at Emtec, we understand that you may wish to listen to music whilst working or enjoying your hobbies and we strongly believe that your hearing protection shouldn’t get in the way of this.

That’s why we design and manufacture the NoiseBreaker®, a custom-made ear plug that does not move in your ear, however vigorously you exercise. The earphones clip into a specially drilled hole on the NoiseBreakers’ outer surface, and the music is then transmitted down the through channel, thus providing excellent sound quality, even in a noisy environment.

The problem with standard MP3/phone earphones is that they tend to move and be uncomfortable in the ear – especially if you are exercising. Our NoiseBreakers, used as a housing for earphones, solve this problem.

I’m a professional drummer and drum educator and think the NoiseBreaker product far outstrips the hundreds of other ear protection products I’ve tried” – L.Smith, DRUMSMITH Studio.

Just wanted to drop you a quick email as I went out for a run today and used my new earphones for the first time. They were fantastic, first time I’ve ran without having to constantly fiddle with my earphones since I took up running. Thanks for the great service, item and delivery time.” – Adam Sheppard, SUEZ at Avonmouth.

The NoiseBreaker

The fact that NoiseBreakers® are individually tailored has a number of advantages; namely they are comfortable and therefore achieve a high level of acceptance by the wearer, in contrast to the conventional disposable plugs and ear muffs. Also they allow the wearer to communicate easily, but at the same time afford excellent protection.

Attenuation Data

Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)
