NoiseBreaker Ear Plugs For Nuclear Engineering
Working in nuclear engineering can be a noisy job. When exposed to extreme noise over a prolonged period of time, it’s important to ensure you are taking precautions to protect your hearing from any long term damage.
Our Emtec NoiseBreakers® are the perfect solution and will ensure you’re fully protected.
Tailor-made to a person’s individual ear canal and concha bowl, the NoiseBreaker ear plugs are vented and personally moulded, made of silicone rubber.
Worn comfortably in combination with other PPE (breathing apparatus, helmets and safety glasses), our NoiseBreakers are a permanent solution which also makes them environmentally-friendly. The fact that they are made of a medical grade silicone rubber (derivative of silica) means they have no adverse effect on the environment and eliminate the waste that’s often associated with disposable ear plugs.
Not only that, but you are guaranteed complete comfort as the NoiseBreakers’ perfect fit ensures they won’t move, even under various strenuous activities. This means they provide complete laboratory levels of hearing protection in many different environments.
If you work in nuclear engineering and want to ensure your hearing is protected, please feel free to contact us to find out more or place your order.

Attenuation Data
Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)
Attenuation details on NoiseBreakers tested at Salford University Department of Applied Acoustics EN352-2:2002.
